My own mother commissioned me for a professional headshot. With great enthusiasm, she has recently ventured into the world of life coaching as a side hustle, alongside her regular remote job in public relations. My task was to provide headshots specifically for her website, which was an assignment I found quite enjoyable. All of the images were taken at home, which added a personal touch to the project. After rearranging my furniture to create enough space, I transformed the living room into a makeshift home studio that served our purpose well. Despite having limited resources at my disposal, I employed the power of the sun to capture only a few shots that she was truly satisfied with. Although I lacked professional white lighting, I utilised my knowledge of Lightroom editing to ensure the final images had a polished and professional appearance that met both her expectations and mine.
