Norway
In late 2022, I visited Norway for my friend’s twenty-fourth birthday. Beginning in Oslo where the crisp air and clean-lined architecture felt simultaneously modern and timeless; I wandered through the Vigeland Sculpture Park, admired the striking Opera House rising from the fjord while watching trams glide past colouring the streets at night . A short flight north to Tromsø brought a dramatic shift: no sunrise nor sunset, snow-dusted mountains and polar nights, hushed streets under the glow of streetlights, and long, exhilarating excursions into the Arctic wilderness where we chased the aurora borealis. There is a vast contrast in my photography as I saw a shift between Oslo’s cultured urban calm and Tromsø’s rugged, elemental beauty making the trip both restorative and thrilling, leaving me with vivid memories of light, landscape and quiet hospitality.
